Damn, that's almost exactly what I thought his value would be. Think I literally said a 3rd and a 5th, so this could be argued as even lower considering how far off the 3rd rounder is. But I also thought he'd go for more than that just because of the attention around him.

Maybe Calgary decided to pull the trigger before the Leafs could officially get news on Klingberg but it's too bad something there couldn't be worked out here.

I have to imagine that's not an absolute statement. If the Leafs make the clearly better offer, and Conroy turns it down because of Treliving, he's not doing his job and should be fired. If the Leafs offer is similar in value to others, that's when that can come into play.
