I think they just need one get where they get a bunch by Bobrovsky and shake his confidence a little bit.  He's riding high right now, but one bad game and he might revert to the unusable goalie he was down the stretch when they had Alex Lyon take over.

That was closer than I preferred. .. Temporary relief ..
Woll has been pretty darn good all season. Good for him.
Fingers crossed for Friday ...

I still think Matthews has another gear. Hopefully next game.
I thought Matthews had a great game at both ends of the rink. Hopefully they can start dropping for him again.

The only thing is he can't seem to break free to get clear chances.  Credit to the Panthers for holding and interfering successfully.

Amusing watching some of the soft calls Edmonton got in their game
They're all over him. But that opens up other people.
And Edmonton gets a lot of soft calls in their favour.

This was more the game I expected the Leafs would play against Florida's rush game: basically we just took a page from Tampa's playbook and turn the NZ into a swamp so they couldn't play with speed. Similar to how we handled Edmonton in the regular season games.

The Leafs don't have Tampa's forechecking tempo in their first periods (which never lasts) so we didn't have puck dominance, but the 5-man defensive effort lasted the whole game and made it largely perfunctory for Woll to seal the deal.

It seems as though Florida doesn't have the same gumption they found in the Boston series, and carried over into the first three games of this series.  It seems as though their high tempo style of play isn't sustainable game in game out.

I know teams can have a hard time putting away an opponent when they still have multiple opportunities to do it but Florida really did look pretty ordinary.  Now Game 5 could come around and the Leafs could get trounced but I did really like how the Leafs adjusted.  They still really haven't had a great offensive game where they get rewarded for their chances so I'm still hoping that Bobrovsky falls back to Earth a bit.

Didn't watch the game but a lot of talk about Bennett. Should have been suspended but Leafs also should have addressed it then or in the games played since but just shows you the lack of you know what on this team. Florida players like him Tkachuk, Gudas run around doing dumb sh*t because they know that have nothing to fear. Too easy to play against in my opinion. I would dress Simmonds. We don't need the 4th line to play 15 minutes but throw him out there once in a while and just his presence might deter these clowns from doing dumb shi*
