Game notes
TB
•Andrei Vasilevskiy (34-22-4, 2.65 GAA, .915 Sv%) will start for the Lightning
•Jeannot skated with the Lightning at their final practice in Tampa before playoffs start. He has been ruled out for game 1 but seems likely to return from his injury at some point in this series. Jeannot had just 1 goal and 4 points in 20 games since being acquired by Tampa
•Unsurprisingly Kucherov, Point, and Stamkos lead Tampa's forwards in scoring over the past 20 games with 25, 22, and 19 respectively. Sergachev had a career year offensively with 64 points in 79 games this season, and 22 in his last 19 games

TOR
•Ilya Samsonov (27-10-5, 2.33 GAA, .919 Sv%) will start for the Maple Leafs
•Toronto's top forward trio has similar offensive stats to Tampa's with Matthews, Marner, and Tavares having 24, 22, and 19 points respectively over Toronto's last 20 games. Nylander lagged behind with 14 points in that stretch but stepped up late with 3 goals and 5 points in his last 4 games

This sounds more... worrying.

He's been (regular) recalled "to serve as the Club's playoff emergency backup goaltender (EBUG)". Which is pretty standard practice for teams to do.

Generally, I'm not crazy about stacking the top 2 lines.
A good center can elevate those around him (ie Bunting or Hoglund).
I haven't looked at this closely enough to be very sure of that in this series.

Vasilevskiy is my biggest concern as he can steal it though he hasn't been as good this past season.

9 of 19 goals last night were power play goals in 30 PPs = 30% with 3-4 PK/team.

Oddsmakers give the Leafs about a 10$ chance of winning a Cup. That seems about right to me. It is arguably one of the better chances since 1967 (when they were not favoured). This could be a fun playoff run.
