Nail biter last night.  Romano had to come in to get the last out of the 8th!

The team seems to let their foot off the gas once they go 3 or 4 runs up.

This team doesn't even have a gas pedal.

The past couple of games is evidence of this statement.

They stink. Thank goodness football is back.

Of all the teams I've been cursed with following in various sports, I think the Jays are the most frustratingly infuriating of all.

And I follow the Leafs and Newcastle United.

I was a ball boy and bat boy for the Jays in 1979 and 1980. The lost 100 games both years. But they made the playoffs in 1985 and back to back World Series in 1992/1993. I know that's 30 years ago but I was able to watch those wins. I was 2 when the Leafs last hoisted the Cup.

I'm okay with the Jays. They've been entertaining for most of my life.

I was 5/6 during the WS runs and apart from that at the bat flip they've been unwatchable. And I grew up in the Jr. Jays club and read the comics and everything. Them doing nothing for most of Delgados and Halladays careers really didn't help...

When my son was 8 years old we traveled to Toronto and went to a Jays game. He got his Jays hat signed by Delgado. He had no idea who he was. Unfortunately, the hat was lost during a forest fire years later. We live in New Mexico

Born in 81 and have always been a big fan. I think the team is not even close to as skilled as projected. They aren't underachieving, they're just not very good.
Upon the wicked He will rain Jerseys; blue and white and burning waffles will be the portion of their cup.

This team.....How do you get swept by Texas at home and then rebound.  The pitching this year has been sensational.

Arn

Didn't realise of the remaining 10 games, Seattle and Texas play each other 7 times. So if one of them sweeps those (and wins their other 3 games against Houston or Anaheim respectively) the most they can win is 94. But that would mean the other could only win 87 max. The Jays need to finish one clear as they don't have the tie breakers so would need 88 wins to sneak in.

If they split the series 4-3 either way (and sweep their other series), then the most either team can win is 91, with the other getting 90, in which case the Jays need to find 6 wins from their last 10 games.

If Texas overtakes Houston it probably skews that by a game or two, but Houston have to face Seattle and also have an "easy" series against Kansas.

Long story, I think 5 wins probably gets the Jays in. Unfortunately they face Gerrit Cole probably twice , then Tampa in 6 of the last 10
