Hey guys. Did I miss some news about Källgren? I thought he's looked decent in his starts with the Leafs, and was ahead of Woll in his development. Injury?

Källgren has a record of 8W-5L-2T with an 88.5 save percentage.
Woll has a record of 14W-1L-0T with a 93.1 save percentage.

He's annihilating the AHL

Thanks. I guess I haven't been paying enough attention to the Marlies this year. Let's hope Woll can find his form in the NHL.

They better come out with a better effort than last nights no show. Calgary has been outplaying teams in a lot of games but their goaltending has let them down and not burying their chances. Game means more to them if the Leafs don't come out with a purpose going to be another loss. Also let's hope Holl sits tonight either Gust or Schenn in. I didn't watch 2/3 of the game last night but I see Holl had over 20 minutes of ice time and Lilly under 13. Enough said.

Liljegren missed time when he got hurt which increased Holl's and Brodie's time. I don't like the Rielly, Holl pairing but I did like seeing Holl actually use his body last night. He had 2 really good hits, one on McFlop and Yamamoto. I wished he'd do that all the time. I also wish the Leafs would play him as a 3rd pairing/PK guy, not as a top pairing guy. I don't blame Holl for that, he's playing way above his pay grade.

I can't for the life of me figure out why they have him playing anywhere near top minutes. Hope he sits today and gone tomorrow. Him and Reilly together is a recipe for disaster.

Like him or not, Holl was the best d-man last night.  Brodie and Liljegren were at the other end of the spectrum.

But I agree, after getting their heads handed to them by Mr. Universe they ought to be well-motivated by deep feelings of shame.

Maybe that was partly due to him knowing he may be next to be traded. Regardless he should be your 3rd pairing guy but Keefe doesn't see that.

Holl was our 3rd pairing guy in last year's playoffs. He was also scratched for the first 2 games. Keefe has options and we're going to see them. I believe he put McCabe with Brodie to ease him into it. Like it or not Holl is very good on the PK and while not impossible, I don't see Dubas moving him. Holl has been on the ice for 16 PP GA and is 13th overall for D in shorthanded minutes. Of the top 50 SH TOI D men he's 3rd in PPGA/60.
Personally if Holl's in...

Rielly Brodie
McCabe Liljegren
Gio Holl

Lijegren, Aston-Reese scratched tonight
Schenn and Gustafsson are in. 11/7?

Take Keefe's toy away.  Liljegren being his default to scratch is absurd (albeit he had a bad game last night)

Team has lots of defencemen. I really don't think anyone needs to overreact if Liljegren gets scratched here and there.
