Did the Rangers ever give up a lot to acquire Kane.  Geez.

Suprised the Rangers had to give up a 1st (even if conditional) given that the Rangers were the only team bidding.

The ECF is going to be absolutely absurd.

I don't think it's a lot seeing what some other trades have returned. Think Dubas should have worked on a blockbuster involving Kane and the two hawks picked up yesterday. Mistake on Dubas' part to work on keeping him away from the rangers etc.

Significantly Insignificant

Kane wouldn't go anywhere but the Rangers.  He had a full no-trade clause.  That isn't on Dubas.

Did he actually say that couple weeks ago sounded like he said TO or the rangers if traded.

That was just speculation. The only thing from Kane was that he was disappointed when the Rangers added Tarasenko because he thought it might leave him without a landing spot there.

IIRC after the O'Reilly trade Kane made some comments about how Toronto wasn't really under consideration for him. Granted, that might not be truthful or mean much, but I do think it's pretty clear NYR was his #1 destination.
