Both players with term.  Lafferty signed to reasonable deal next season and McCabe for two more years at a $2M cap hit.  That's a very tidy piece of business.

With the retention on McCabe, I don't know if there actually need to be any, other than not having much by way of healthy scratches around.

Per Capfriendly, the Leafs would be just a shade over $1mil over the cap once Murray comes off LTIR and Woll goes down. So even sending someone like ZAR down doesn't make them cap compliant. I doubt they risk Timmins on waivers. Guess something else is coming (Kerfoot move?).

Doesn't need to be a conditioning stint. He's part of the organization already, so they can assign him there. He just won't be eligible for the AHL playoffs (I think).
