If the idea is to have Marner playing the role of Rielly, it kinds of makes sense on paper.  But he doesn't have a heavy enough shot to get anything started from out there.

I'll be the first to admit that I thought Sandin would really help the PP in Rielly's absence.  That hasn't happened, but I still think he's got a shot that can make it work.
