Was that enough?

Yes, I am quite satisfied
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

Tied with New Jersey at 44 points (they have one game in hand) and three points pack of Boston (two games in hand)

Nothing like being a top 3 team in the NHL and probably being 7 points back of the first place team

Did Nylander not play last night? 7 goals and no points. I hope this does not mean he is going invisible again for a few games.

He literally had 5 points the game before this.

He also had like four glorious scoring chances on Gibson.

Whatever was bothering Matthews at the start of the year doesn't appear to be bothering him now.  He's back to stealing pucks and he's stickhandling through guys again to get his shot off.  It's one thing to do it in the regular season but this team looks like a team designed to play playoff hockey now.

Pfft. That was so 2 games ago.

The Ducks didn't put up much of a fight, but the Leafs also did a good job of putting the sleeper hold on the game after getting the lead.

Aside from the early chances against when they were a bit loosey goosey, this was a text book Leaf win the coaching staff is probably asking for when facing a struggling opponent. Score early, make the game boring, pump lots of ice time into the bottom six to rest up the top 6/top 4, and pad some stats for the grinders or try to get a slumpbuster (Kerfoot!) or a newbie goal (Anderson!).

Holmberg was excellent and helped generate most of the garbage time goals with his sound positioning and smudging out rushes. Timmins got the early stat pad playing secondary assist merchant, but he stuck with his basic game of improving the puck condition with every touch. Engvall got so much time to shoot he must've thought he was back in the SHL; if he can learn to release it a smidge faster, he hits 20Gs.

Him and Nylander both probably could have gotten 2 a piece last night.

Tavares could've had a few more too. And Brodie's goal was basically a Nylander tap in that got intercepted by his check's skate.

Is there a more enjoyable post-game interview than Samsonov?
