So I double checked my offseason hype for Holmberg. I was mentally pencilling him in for Johnsson-like duty as a utility forechecking/defensive winger in the middle six to ease him into the league.

I underestimated the Leafs' need for a centre (Evan Rodrigues right there back then), and underestimated Holmberg's adjustment to NHL ice. He's a mini Kampf. Let him run free with Robertson and Malgin.

I think Holmberg offers more offensive ability than Kampf actually.

How many laser wristers have you seen him unload this year?

Glad to be made a fool of.  But I still think his wrist isn't 100%.

I think something is up too, but great to see him snipe one tonight. Maybe something WAS up.

I hope so.  If he gets rolling and the goaltending holds up all of sudden they look a lot better than the Bums of October.
