Obviously the usual gang of posters are either

1) sick of the preseason...

or

2) too impaired after 8-1 to post

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

I'm still coming off the high from that Malgin goal.

The Wings iced a weaker team tonight.

Holl looked pretty good tonight.
Sandin, the last two games, looks the best I've ever seen him.
Muzzin looked pretty good during the times I noticed him.

Murray didn't get heavily tested but looked solid when he did.
The one goal he allowed, I thought was a perfectly placed shot - not soft.

Nylander & Matthews sure looked like they're ready to go. Marner too.

Malgin's goal ... what can you say beyond "do not lose this guy for nothing on waivers!!!"

Biggest news ... nobody else got hurt.

He's earned it. That was a beauty goal.

How do you waive goodbye to that and lose it for nothing?

Quote"He had a good camp. He obviously produced. That's a big part of who he is and what he does," Keefe said post-game of the Olten, Switzerland native, who's finished this pre-season with four goals to his name. "He was also just competitive, hard on the puck, forechecked when it was time to forecheck.

"I think if you're him coming in, if you made a checklist of the things you want to get accomplished, he did a good job of accomplishing it."

As his coach pointed out, it was more than just the highlight-reel tally that raised eyebrows on the Leafs bench Saturday night — it was Malgin's overall dedication to the fight to make the cut.

Can he keep up that pace for 82 games? I doubt it.
But he might be able to put up '21-22 Kerfoot-like numbers.
It was fun to see what he did this preseason.
