So has Sportsnet and TSN jumped back off the Oiler's bandwagon yet? I've never the media be more fairweather than they have been with the Oilers this year. I get that they are desperately seeking the next Crosby or Canadian great, but it doesn't seem very likely like McDavid is going to realize a cup win with the Oilers.

We might be getting pretty close to them completely flipping and wondering if a team led by McDavid can win. Obviously, he can't do it alone, but we know how much the media loves them a good narrative.

Hyman with 1 point in his last 8 playoff games.

And that wasn't much last year. The puck was going in anyway and he barely made contact with it. Liked him but so glad he's not playing with M&M anymore.

"So glad." Really? I like Bunting a lot but you're implying Hyman was brutal.

I don't think that's what's being said but Hyman's importance to the leafs was grossly overstated.

He's a good player, 5mil x 7 years good? Not even a little.

Right but there's a difference in being glad he's not on the Leafs due to cap constraints vs. being not a good player. Sounded like the latter to me.

Man LA has no goaltending.  6-0 and 8-2 losses

The Kane signing paying off big time for Edmonton.

That Kane signing is the only saving grace for Holland's tenure thus far.

Edmonton put Duncan Keith and Brett Kulak on the ice to start OT.

Edmonton is now down 3-2 in the series.

Joe

I've always had a soft spot for Edmonton, they're low key my second favourite team. But I have a hard time rooting for a team that has evander Kane.

I don't understand how the Oilers can let a low scoring team like the Kings get over 40 shots in a home playoff game?  Kings aren't exactly anyone's idea of a high scoring team

Joe

They've got Ceci and Barrie in their top 6. We all know that's not a winning combo from experience.

They were 7th in the league in CF/60 during the regular season right behind the Leafs and 4th in xGF/60, again right behind the Leafs. Their finishing just wasn't anywhere nearly as good (dead last in Sh%).
