From an unbiased POV I think that's the right call. It's a hell of a wasted effort by Kakko there which is a shame but he willingly cut into the crease knowing that he had a defender right on his back. He wasn't pushed in and he made no real effort to avoid contact.

It's the last little step towards/lean into DeSmith that sealed it for me. If he looks to make an effort to avoid contact instead of trying to play up the minimal contact the Pens player makes on him, the call probably goes the Rangers' way.
