Sure, though neither team will likely have much to play for. Might not be a super competitive game, in which case, is there a benefit? For some players, probably. For others, the extra rest will be more helpful.

Depends how Thursday goes.  A Bruins win and Tampa loss means Bruins can still catch 3rd place going into Friday's games
But if I'm them, I'd rather face the Canes without Freddie then the Leafs. I think Friday's game will have little meaning to either team.

But if you're the Leafs would you rather face Boston than Tampa?  Will both teams be trying to lose? LOL

I think it's one thing for us fans to prefer one opponent over the other, but true contending teams shouldn't care who they face.

Agree. I don't think they care who they play. They have to believe they can beat and play with anyone. I actually think the Leafs are a good matchup for T Bay because of their offence. Should be a helluva series and hopefully the Leafs can pull it off.
