Eh, he's been good lately, up until Tuesday.  That game was so weird it's meaningless IMO.

On the ice for 3 PK goals against on Tuesday. You'd have to go back 13 games prior to that to count 3 total PK goals that he was on the ice for. Definitely not something to massively overreact to but Holl has become the mandatory "Leaf fans have to hate 1 defenceman on the team" guy so it'll happen.

I think the thing for me is that at this point I just like Liljegren more in the lineup over Holl so I don't love that he is coming out for him.   I just hope it isn't a trend.

That's great. I think Gord Miller and Chris Cuthbert call good games, but Singh calls it very well too and frankly, he's got the compelling quality of voice that Miller and Cuthbert just don't have. The Bene Gesserit of hockey broadcasting.

Liljegren doesn't deserve to sit, but I'm a big fan of trying stuff out in the regular season so you have data and patterns and backpocket plans to work with when poop happens.

This is mostly about finding a partner and role for Muzzin to get going properly again, which is a higher value add than Liljegren vs Holl vs Lyubushkin.

Wouldn't surprise me if they are together. Also what the heck is Clifford doing in the lineup. 2 dumb penalties recently that have contributed to both losses. No need for either and timing of them just plain stupid.

Totally agree with you - but thinking back over the years, and obviously I'm probably missing someone, but the only defenceman I ever remember really pissing me off and wondering why he was still in the NHL was Lumme. Everyone else I feel was unfairly picked on.

The Larry Murphy hate was the best.  Won two cups with the Penguins, comes to Toronto, railroaded out of town to Detroit for "future considerations" and wins two more cups in Detroit.
