Identical records!?  Did you have a copy/paste issue there Carlton?  Surely the old slow Bruins are finally running out of steam and can't keep up with the Leafs record!  :-\

Teams that have their elite but aging franchise goalie retire and then immediately have a young elite goalie pop out of nowhere should be severely punished somehow (looking at you too Rangers).

I sincerely hope Matthews and Marner have the same longevity / productivity as Bergeron/Marchand who never seem to slow down despite being 36 and 33.

What's crazier than their longevity is that they literally got better as they aged. Marchand's been a PPG+ player in his age 28-33 seasons. He had 42 points in 77 games when he was 26.

Cheers to that!

I always had a thinking about the Leafs rout to the cup, and I see this as a Washington did, they were hammered by the Penguins so many times on the 1st round and when they got through they won the cup.
Boston is the one team that the Leafs need to beat on a playoff series to gain a level of confidance that will not be matched.
As the insane Atlantic division race is, even goal differential could be a factor for home ice advantage, and the Leafs need this (and their goalies to pull it together) in other to have sucess on the playoffs promised land.

Go Leafs Go!!!
Go Leafs Go!!!

Kaberle15

Nice, he played near Boston and this is a Babcock free team
Go Leafs Go!!!

Bunting with 50 pts in 65 games so far at age 26.

Probably a pipe dream but you never know  :P

GO LEAFS GO!
Can't be cheering for Connor Brown no more.

Do we think the change in the game has helped him more than him actually getting better?

Marchand changed his game: slightly less time and focus on being a dumbdumb.
I think his World Cup-run with Crosby-Bergeron in 2016 sort of opened his eyes (and Boston's) to the possibilities of being more than an agitator (thanks, Babcock?).

After making good on that opportunity, he was deployed accordingly: Boston's super line gets cushy starts, insulated by Bergeron, etc. He put in the work and made it happen, but a lot of the production is still a function of his deployment and usage.

Is it bad I despise so many teams like I do? Habs, Bruins Canucks....
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
