At these prices, I hope the Leafs don't do much.

Ya I would love to see them bolster the D but unless we can move some players in the lineup I agree. If the Leafs are looking at Giordano what are we giving up if Chariot got that.?

Chiariot is 30 Giordano is 38. I don't think they are comparable in trade value.

Both are UFAs after this season, Gio's cap hit is 3M more so maybe more retention? I don't know if age will factor into it. I think Florida overpaid. Colorado paid less for Manson who is also 30 and a UFA.

Gio is also a far superior player, which more than makes up for the age difference, considering we're talking about a rental and not a long-term piece.

Superior player, but do NHL GMs know that? I wouldn't be surprised if Giordano returns less than this.

Even on reputation alone, GMs should recognize that. Never mind the advanced stats or anything that just confirms it to be the case.

But is he 6'3", 230 lbs? I guess we'll find out either way soon enough.

Very good point. Manson is 6"3", 220lbs. We will def find out soon enough though.

Tampa's one weakness looking at their line-up was that they could have really used another effective middle-6 winger. >:(

It's gonna be awesome when Tampa sucks in 2030.

Very Tampa Bay move. Steep price tag for a middle six winger/role player
