Figured this was happening the moment they were bought out. At the right price these could be good signings for them.

I've been waiting to see which players might shake loose after qualifying offers were handed out, especially since there's been some interesting names the past few years. Khaira could be a decent option for the 4th line.

Well, that helps explain the trade, at least. He had a good rookie year, but, it was only 23 games. I guess his team sees him as similar in value to Driedger, which isn't that out of line.

Even if Carolina didn't believe in him as a starter I'm very surprised they couldn't get more than a 3rd for him.

They definitely did not get good value in the deal, and the reasoning behind it is specious at best.

Pretty solid return for a guy who cleared waivers like a month before the season ended. I remember saying at the time someone should have grabbed him.

Maybe Dundon is broke and looking to cut corners?
