Anybody see the Ortiz vs Mayweather fight? I'm definitely NOT a Mayweather fan, and even I was shocked by that b.s.

Feel awful for Ortiz, he probably wasn't winning the fight anyways, but Mayweather's punch was just dirty.

I don't know.  It was legal.  Certainly not in the 'fair play' mode but really, the fight had resumed and it is 'protect yourself at all times'.  I don't like what he did, and I think it's definitely borderline but it was within rules so...?

Funniest moment was the interview after by Larry Merchant!

Joe Cortez is one of the more respected refs in boxing. He was quoted in some article I saw over the weekend saying that he had restarted the fight before Mayweather's shot. Might have been a couple slips in process though, like not putting the fighters in neutral corners before deducting the point for the head butt.

Doesn't really matter though. Mayweather is going to get kicked around the ring if he ever faces Pacquiao.

Nahh, Floyd will beat Pac ;)

It definitely was within the rules, but it was dirty and uncalled for. The ref has his back to the fight when the first punch is thrown...I dunno...just doesn't seem right to me. How do you restart the match as the referee when you aren't able to pay complete attention? It just seemed like a "good faith" sort of thing. What Floyd did was within the rules, but it was still a sucker punch and it just reflects poorly on Mayweather's character (as if he had to protect his good name...)

Pacquiao annoys me. I hate Floyd though. Wish there was someone better to cheer for.

So, Floyd Mayweather, who's career spans a perfect 49-0, now states that he intends to come out of retirement to fight the UFC's Conor McGregor with whom he's had a long-running feud.  Is Mayweather bluffing or is this  going to be the real McCoy?

Floyd Mayweather defeats Colin McGregor with a TKO in the 10th round, and perfects his record to 60-0.  Matchup was held in Las Vegas on Saturday August 26.

That Fury/Wilder fight tonight was just insane! Really couldn't tell who was taking it until the later rounds.
