Doug Sanders died, famous golfer of the 50-60's won the Canadian Open in 56 as an amateur.  Known for his personality and colourful wardrobe, won his share of tourneys, but never a major.  Finished 2nd 4 times.  He had a chance to win a British Open, but missed a 3Ft. putt to open the door for Nicklaus. 
Great golfer, great stories.
