Yeah was announced yesterday

Completely missed that. Surprised they would waive him at this point, but I also don't think we're really losing anything.

Dammit, if you were giving up on him, why didn't they throw him in with Barrie on a deal to make the pot sweeter.  Like a lost resource.  Good luck for Timashov in Detroit. I liked the kid.

Good for Timashov, I guess. He'll have a shot to at least play in Detroit. Wasn't going to add any real value to anything here.

Because, he doesn't add that much value, and it means the team acquiring him has to use another contract slot?

Yeah Friedman said the same a month or two ago as well.

He probably heard rumours that Detroit makes the playoffs every single year.

I think it's more likely he's just happy not getting scratched for Frederik Gauthier anymore.

Guilt Trip

Meh... Nothing to see here. Wasn't going to get a shot up the lineup here so, lose a contract and move on.

I think it was kind of unfair that he kept getting the brunt of the healthy scratches but at the same time it's really not a loss.  He wasn't happy and he now gets to play on a team where he is probably their 4th best player until the end of the season.

I'm not broken up about Timashov.  He just seemed like "a guy" to me, didn't really stand out in any way that I could see.  I think he's a 4th liner but that's about it.
