Eh. The whole "what team" thing is manufactured nonsense regardless. The choice that gets made doesn't change anything about what he did and given the circumstances I'm perfectly happy with respecting his family's wishes.

Oh sure, I don't really care.  For me he goes in as a Jay based on his performance with the team.  What hat goes on his plaque matters very little.   He probably still goes into the HOF on the first ballot even if he didn't pass but without him being there to give his speech it really doesn't matter beyond that as his plaque will highlight both his time with the Jays and his performance in the playoffs with the Phillies.

The 2019 Hall of Fame Weekend will be held July 19-22, with the annual Induction Ceremony scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 21 at 1:30 p.m. ET at the Clark Sports Center. Admission to the Ceremony is free and will be broadcast live on MLB Network and will be shown via webcast at www.baseballhall.org. More than four dozen Hall of Famers annually return for Hall of Fame Weekend, with the full list of returnees to be announced in early July, to honor the Class of 2019 at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
