I meant as in you must enter USA before entering Colorado.

You can't go directly to Colorado so yes.

Would you still be banned from Colorado?

We have airplanes, but I get your point and it also wasn't a serious question.

Far from an epidemic but it is happening at some border crossings.

Oh, I'm sure it may be an issue during the current administration but that's a pretty far cry from a lifetime ban. I think it's pretty unlikely a Democrat-led DOJ, or even a fairly reasonable Republican DOJ, would continue to enforce such a policy.

Even then they're turning away people for admitting to smoking pot. Not, as cabber has mentioned, using an OCS charge on a credit card to deny entry.

The power they have is to search financial records without a warrant for non-residence, and that is only if your banking institution keeps any sort of records on American soil.

I'm not sure which, if any of our Canadian banks keep CC transaction info stored on servers in the US.

So if you have American citizenship, they couldn't search your financial records without a warrant. If you own stock in a company that has anything to do with cannabis, they can refuse you entry into the US.

I haven't actually heard if any of this is for real or not, might just be scare tactics.

Don't know if we have any Michiganders here but congrats on joining the legalized Marijuana bandwagon.

Tough luck, North Dakota.

So, sure enough, I was one of the lucky 4500.

The Ontario government just continues to impress.

You're blaming the Ontario government for a Canada Post breach?

I'm continuing to blame them for choosing the world's worst possible distribution model for what was bound to be a very popular product.

Just a quick update to see if the Ford government has gained any sense of perspective or competency on this issue as today is the launch of legally purchasable edible cannabis in Ontario...and about 20 minutes into things their website is sold out of everything and the site itself is crashing.

So pretty much status quo?

Here in NB the government-run Cannabis NB stores somehow managed to lose money last year so now they're inviting bids from the private sector to take over the sale and distribution. I can hardly wait to find out how it all works out...
It's not denial...I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.
