The Blue Jays have an off-day today, and will resume playing the last three games of the season tomorrow against the Tampa Bay Rays in Tampa.

I think it's fair to say Gibbons got a better send off then Dwane Casey.

By far and by wide, absolutely.

The Blue Jays (72-87) venture to Tropicana Field to play the final three-games hof the season against the Tampa Bay Rays (88-71).

The Rays have been eliminated from any WC hopes, and will finish third in the A.L. East.  They are 8.0 GB second-place NYYankees.

The Blue Jays who are coming off theie last home stand of the year losing two out of three to the Astros, will want to go out on a winning note.

While Jays fans already know skipper John Gibbons will be coaching his final three games in a Blue Jay uniform, there may be others who may not return to the club after this season.   Soon to be free agent pitcher Marco Estrada is one.  Alas, and regardless of what transpires in the off-season, all the Blue Jaya will be thinking about in the season's finale is to win.

LET'S GO BLUE JAYS!

Leave it to Randall & Berti.

That's Berti as in Jon Berti who helped the Jays tie the game up, with the mini comeback Toronto put up.  And if not for Randall Grichuk's triple in the seventh that proved the winner.  Earlier, the Jays seemed befuddled by Rays starter Glasnow.  However, Teoscar Hernandez managed to hit the only solo homer off him.
Rowdy Tellez later hit one as well.

Jays starter Pannone didn't have the best of outings as he was roughed up for five runs in the five innings that he pitched.

Ryan Tepera got the win and Giles the save.

Jays lose today's season finale 9-4 with Russell Martin having gotten the nod as skipper for just this one game.

I wish to hell I'd never said "Winning isn't everything it's the only thing". What I believe is, if you go out on a football field, or any endeavour in life, and you leave every fibre of what you have on the field, then you've won.
