Alright Canada!

Team Canada didn't take the Czechs lightly.  Nope.  They sought to continue their offensive mastery in this Semi-Final, a day after cruising past the Swiss 8-2.  The Canadians made good their scoring juggernaut as Team Canada swamped Team Czech Republic by a score of 7-2 Thursday.

Led by Drake Batherson, whose hat-trick propelled him into a three-way tie alongside the Team USA's Kieffer Bellows & The Czech's so Filip Zedina.
Not just Batherson but other goals came from the likes of  Maxime Comtois, Sam Steel, Jordan Kyrou, & Boris Katchouk.

So, Gold Medal game here we come, as Team Canada faces off against Team Sweden, 4-2 winners in their Semi-Final over Team USA.

GO CANADA GO!

Other WJHC Semi-Final Thursday results:

Team Sweden held back Team USA 4-2, thus earning it a berth in the Gold Medal game against Team Canada.

This victory happened to be Sweden's first playoff win at a WJHC against a US squad since the year 1996

Maple Leafs prospect Timothy Lillejgren had this to say:

Quote"We played a pretty good game today," said Timothy Liljegren. "The U.S. had home advantage, but we've had a good feeling in the group for a while now. This was our goal all along, to play in the gold medal game."

Teqm USA niw goes on to play Team Czech Republic in the Bronze Medal game.

Sorry, officially cheering for the Swiss now.

Go Sweden/Liljegren! I'll never forgive this Canadian team for eliminating the Swiss.

you guys are all babies next to me.

How many here remember Tim Horton in a Leafs jersey?

Mike Pelyk? Jim Dorey?

that's what I thought.   :P

I mean, I've heard those names before, but . . .

I remember Tim Horton from the Boston Cream I bought yesterday.

Does anyone have a stream for the game?...friend in Aruba looking to watch.

Haven't noticed Dahlin, I've noticed Liljegren, therefore Liljegren > Dahlin

Canada's first goal is on a fairly weak defensive play by Liljegren. I hope he doesn't decide to redeem himself until next game....
It's not denial...I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Dahlin got beat on that rush too. Liljegren just let his guy go to try and tank Rasmus' draft stock so he'll drop to the Leafs.
