Eemeli Rasanen made Team Finland as well. They've got a pretty insane blue line, with 5 of their 8 defencemen being drafted in the 1st round. That includes last years 3rd overall pick Miro Heiskanen and Olli Juolevi who went 5th in 2016. He'll be in tough to get much if any playing time but still nice to see him named.

I'm keeping an eye out for Artyom Minulin, #5 on Team Russia. 6'2" RHD from the Swift Current Broncos. He went undrafted last year and I thought he'd be a decent pick in the middle of the draft.

Liljegren blows a tire trying to recover an errant pass on the power play and has to watch a shorthanded goal tie the game.

Canada gets a pretty favourable call on their first goal. I don't think it should have counted, but, international rules and such, so, maybe?

I'm really struggling to find a reason to be interested by this Canadian team.
I wish to hell I'd never said "Winning isn't everything it's the only thing". What I believe is, if you go out on a football field, or any endeavour in life, and you leave every fibre of what you have on the field, then you've won.

Dante Fabbro looks good. Like, JVR-level good.

It's a rag-tag group of nobodies trying to become somebodies?

He did have a nice quick up while the Belarussians were on a line change to give the Swedes an odd man rush that allowed them to set up sustained pressure for one of the middle goals.

Just a bunch of scrappy first and second round draft picks.
