I never got to know her really well.  We PIM'd many, many times - but I never took the time to really get to know her.  That bothers me, 7 years later.

Our time is limited here, and learning from her - live life for today, and get to really know those around you, and enjoy life to it's fullest.

The other day I was thinking about when I first started posting here and the people on the site. Can't remember, maybe 2002 or 03. It was good quality people like "m-gro" (Hannah) that kept it interesting.

I was always curious what her username represented. I never met her but she would fit right in to the crowd on here these days. The board has some good people here lately, with some pretty funny commentary to boot.

I have been on and off for a few years (life has been a bumpy ride at times) but some people just stick with you, even on an internet forum. Some peoples character just shines through.

I also remember salzy.  :o

I am not 100% sure but I think m-gro meant Miracle Grow.

Miracle Gro........yeah, she was a green thumb, among her other talents and interests (I remember her love for photography, as well as plants and flowers etc)and that's to the best of my recollection, what the m in  m-gro stood for.

Indeed as has been mentioned, m-gro was for Miracle-Gro, from the fertilizer and her love for gardening.  She always thought the name was kind of goofy.  She was Sakura, Hana was her dog.

It's good to hear from people that she touched with her personality.  She was a really kind and really genuine person, and the world desperately needs more people like her.  She really brought goodness and light with her wherever she went, as I'm sure all the people who knew her would attest.

I remember going to her house with a few TMLfaners for a memorial - her gardens were awesome!

I may sound like a broken record saying this each and every year, but I still can't believe this.  A part of me feels as if she is still around and is just taking a hiatus from the site to concentrate on her professorship. :(

I'll never forget the sinking feeling I got in my stomach reading Rob's post about her tragic death.

Me too Peter.  :'(  She was a very special person.

I still make the hamburgers that we had at her house one time at a BBQ.  They were so good and my kids still have the rocks that she let them pick out and take home.  She was a very very rare breed and still greatly missed.

AlmosGirl

My gosh, 8 yr anniversary of her loss coming up. It still doesn't seem real. I think about her a lot during this time of the year and still miss her very much. You are always with us m-gro.

Britishbulldog

Hey m-gro, I tried making it through the month without posting something here since it has be 9 years now.

Couldn't make it though.  Still miss you.

I hear ya BBD. Sigh. :'( I can't believe it's been 9 years. So busy these days but this time of year is always in my mind and she's never far from my thoughts.

Miss ya m-gro.

I have kept at least one plant in my apartment in her honour since her passing. Can't look at it without being reminded of her and what a wonderful person she was.

cw

When the parks wouldn't let us plant a Japanese Maple tree in her honour, I got one and put it in my backyard. It's doing great.

Every time I really look at that tree to take it in, I think of her - particularly in the spring when you see the leaves developing and new growth.

A very special person whose community here that she was so integral in forming, still misses her greatly.

TheMightyOdin

It's been almost a decade now.

Just seeing this thread and her name at the top of the page any time I come to this thread category has been...( I can't think of the right word to end this sentence..its a positive feeling.. I just can't express it)

What can you say really? Time and life march on.

Gone to soon Sakura but you left your mark and you are remembered.
