A generalized NBA/basketball thread for posting non-Raptors related topics pertaining to anything basketball.

NBA in Europe?  Real Madrid president Fiorentino Perez thinks so:

Valanciunas sits on the bench for the 4th quarter while the Raptors squander a lead.  Cousins was absuing Valanciunas on the perimeter...he was abusing Biombo on the inside.

I don't understand Casey's problem with Valanciunas.  Biombo was an absolute liability on the court in the 4th quarter as guys weren't even paying attention to him.

Those Golden State Warriors just keep on winnin'. They are currently 14-0 led by the seemingly invincible Stephen Curry.

The other night against the L.A.Clippers, GS erased a 23 point deficit and wiped out the opposition.  Can anybody stop them?

On the other side of the fence, the Philadelohia '76ers are 0-13 on the year, shooting air balls here, there and everywhere, making this a 'Keyatone Kops' iteration of what is unseemly a pro basketball team.

How much worse can it get for them?

Cleveland's LeBron James  gets himself a place in NBA history, as James along with former NBA & Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson, are the only players in the Top 25 list to lead in assists and points.

A story that maybe has a bit of resonance here in Toronto but apparently the NBA put pressure on the 76ers to knock it off with the blatant tanking which led to the hiring of Jerry Colangelo above Sam Hinkie.

I wish to hell I'd never said "Winning isn't everything it's the only thing". What I believe is, if you go out on a football field, or any endeavour in life, and you leave every fibre of what you have on the field, then you've won.

76ers fought lottery reform and won? Where the heck was Lou on that over here?

The Bucks beat the Warriors to stop their win streak at 24 games.  24-1 on the season....wow.

All-Star weekend brings back memories and honour to Dell & his son, Steph Curry.

Steph has a Toronto connection, having attended Queensway Christian College back when he was a pre-teen and his father, Dell was playing for the Raptors at the time.  He stayed for three years at which time his son, Steph, honed his young basketball skills in Canada.

Welcome back, Steph!

"Vinsanity" revisited?  These guys put all slam dunkers to shame (well, except for our own Vince Carter):

Raptors' Lowry doesn't get past opening round as Warriors' Klay Thompson ekes out teammate Stephen Curry in the Three Point competition:
