Anyone else really looking forward to Arkham City tomorrow!?!?

I don't know if I'm so jazzed that I'll go get it tomorrow but I really enjoyed Asylum. My one complaint was that it was too short and City apparently has a bunch more depth.

Well, I just called EB games to set one aside for me tomorrow so I'll get it then but like you, my only complaint with Asylum was that it was a little too short.  I completed all the Riddler challenges as well.

I'm usually not one to do all the "side missions/challenges" in games but I liked Asylum so much I finished it as much as I could.

Ah that reminds me I dropped Asylum right after starting it because other games and stuff came along.  That should probably be at the top of my list to get back into when I have the time.

Maybe I should pick it up.

But TBH right now for me November looks like gaming month for me. Assassin's Creed Revelations and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I'll be tied over till passed Christmas.

Really looking forward to Skyrim. I love sandbox games.

I really want to see a pre-quel to Red Dead Redemption though...

Did you find the end of RDR disappointing?

*Spoiler Alert

It's fitting... but I love John Marston as a character so much that it was rough to see him go.

I really liked the ending, it made me sad and the last mission as Jack where you shoot the FBI guy felt really satifsfying.  I don't generally get emotional from video games so it felt really powerful to feel that strongly.

I didn't like being forced into dueling him. I wanted to just walk up and blast him. Then again, I felt like blowing him away in pretty much every part of the game he's in. I was pretty disappointed with the ending. Jack is a little punk compared to John.

The best part of the ending was listening to that beautiful song "Dead Man's Gun".

Figuring out some of these riddler trophies is driving me insane.

My favs have been throwing a charged up remote batarang for around multiple corners to short out a panel.

Yeah. I've become pretty good with it because of those. They really upped the challenge on these things.

Well, (don't let TMM or Almo'sGirl see this) apparently I'm the best mom in the universe. Battlefield came out at midnight Tuesday morning. I took my 16 year old up to Gamestop in the mall to pick up his preorder. AND, after we got home at almost 1 am, I told him he could skip first and second class on Tuesday to sleep in since he would obviously want to go home and play this new game for a couple hours. Getting ahead of all his buddies on Battlefield is more important than 1 phys ed class and 1 english class--they're reading Tale of Two Cities and he's already finished reading it: "what a stupid book" LOL.

So I rock as a parent, I suppose.

So...BF3...

judging by the number of sales I put through...most definitely NOT a COD killer. Batman definitely outsold it. Not enough preorders at my store to warrant a midnight launch.

MW3 is gonna blow it out of the water in terms of sales.

On a somewhat related note...I'm completely prepared for MW3 to be completely underwhelming.

I don't know, from the trailers I've seen of MW3, it looks pretty crazy. Can't wait till 11/8/11. If anyone wants to add me to their friends on PSN - My handle is Mauler_81. I play COD:BO multiplayer daily.  :)

I felt the ending of Arkham City was a little underwhelming and surprising all at the same time.

I just couldn't get into BF3 on the console.  The game is epic in scale without a doubt, but the console versions are neutered graphics-wise and in scale by only allowing 12v12.  Makes for alot of slow games on big maps. If I was still a PC gamer I might be into it, but otherwise no thanks.  One PC downside is the whole Origin thing which is major lulz.  Terrible.

Now Uncharted 3, Arkham Asylum and MW3...heck yes.

donkeyy0

Mass Effect 3.

The Old Republic.

Guild Wars.

These are the games I'm waiting for.

Screw FPS games. So oversaturated with content right now...give me Halo and I'm set for FPS.
