Mr T was someone whose insight added to my experience of Hockey and the Leafs. His diligence in researching and presenting his views is a rare thing.

Rest In Peace Chris.  Your bantor and conversations, both on this site and in personal conversations will be cherished, as one who appieciated and respected your vast insight particularly on the subject of hockey & the Leafs.

Your posts & replies harboured a certain way of making you a TMLfan favourite amongst many of us here on this board.  Your wittiness, eloquence, flair and presentation made this site a worthwhile endeavor to participate in.  Even though I personally never met you, Chris, I (as certainly others as well), felt like I had known you as a friend all these years since I joined TMLfans (in the mid-decade).

If there's anyone who knows what the word 'miserable' means in the face of ongoing health ailments, believe you me I know.  And empathize. No matter how great or how small the problem, how handicapping or disabling it can be, it takes a certain amount of 'bravery' to get on in life.  That was you Mr T.  Thank you for your dedication to TMLfans.

I always looked forward to any post by MrT. I only knew vaguely of his illness but I knew something was there. I hoped for recovery even though I wondered where he was for the last year or so.

Unfortunately it didn't work out that way, but I'll always remember him as sort of a counter part to CW and viewed him as one of the elder statesmen when I joined.

He will be missed.

Condolences to the family. T was a thoughtful poster who obviously had an impact on everyone here, his insight and helpfulness was already missed, hopefully we can carry that positive energy and inertia with us.

Thanks for posting the correspondence, I think most felt the news coming in one way or another but the finality of it is hitting home. Rest in peace Mr T.

I didn't know Mr. T on a personal level, but enjoyed his posts here, I'd be Interested in contributing with which ever is decided. Would it be possible to plant a tree next to the one you guys/gals did for Sakura?

I was wondering if this would also serve as a gesture of some sort of 'tribute' to an individual. (I have in recent years given in memory of close family, usually with their name(s) inscribed on a pavilion in any one of the Trail areas of one's choice).

If not, then a tree planted somewhere in the city, (preferably closer to the family's area of residence if possible), would also be a very well-thought out idea.

As a long time Leaf fan, I was a regular visitor to this site long before I became a member.  I don't post often but I still usually visit at least once a day.  It was the passion of certain members which finally convinced me to go ahead and join so I could actually take part in conversations from time to time.  While I'm not posting often, please take no offence when I say 'we' have lost a great friend.  My condolences to the family.  May 'T's' memory live on not only through our memories but also through our 'MOTM'. RIP Mr. T

I've been a member since around 2003 & I echo the sentiments of many posters, I really enjoyed reading the posts of MrT, very knowledgeable guy and a friendly one too.

I've sent a copy of this post to MrT's daughter who is following this thread to get input from the family. She's emailed some thoughts and she'll get back to me in a few days.

I don't usually read this forum and just saw the news.  Thanks for sharing his daughter's extremely articulate and sensitive thoughts, cw.

I'm really glad to learn that he knew about our tribute to him in the naming of the MotM thread, and that he was touched by that.  One of the last interactions I had with him was when he showed me how to auto-format the Excel spreadsheet that I use to keep track of the points.  A typical gesture from a man who was suffering, who had much bigger problems to deal with, who certainly didn't have to take time to help some guy he never met.  But he did.

Kindness and generosity are important in world that seemingly is beset with countless examples to the contrary.  How MrT conducted himself personally was important ... is important still.  He gave us an outstanding example of how to create a living legacy.

I want to offer my condolences to his family, and thank them for their support of their husband and father, which, by enabling him to continue interacting with us for as long as possible, was a wonderful gift to each of us in this online community.  I am very grateful.

My condolences to Chris's Family and friends. While I never knew him personally, being a lurker here for the past 8+years you gain a certain familiarity with the posters who contribute. And Mr.T was one of the best, his Man of the Match Threads spoke volumes for me on just how well certain player's have played through the season, a week, etc. It will always be the Mr.T Man of the Match thread for as long as this site is up afaic. Rest in Peace Chris, it's obvious from this thread that your going to missed greatly.

My sincere condolences to Chris's family.  I never met him, but I enjoyed reading his game day threads.  May his spirit inspire the Leaf players.
