It's the World Cup. If any player isn't 100% motivated to win already they probably shouldn't be playing.

This is Qatar's defense. It was "only"" 400-500 deaths. I mean, forget for a second how much of a monster you have to be with being ok with even that many deaths but imagine being such a poorly run enterprise that you don't even know whether or not 100 people who built your stadiums died in the process?

This feels like one of those areas where we can declare a little cultural advantage here. There's a lot of problems with NA sports but I'm pretty confident that if anyone died building the ACC then A) they were a reasonably well compensated professional and B) the people in charge knew about it.

To bad he finished playing like crap, should have had the 2nd goal and it was more on the D man and his limp pass on the first goal that set up that goal.

Again its baby steps and we made it and competed well against Belgium. I am proud of the guys but you don't sit Richie Laryea on the first half of what was an important win or tie for us.

Lets meet in 4 years at BMO field and cheer on the hometeam.

I mean they lost the game they probably deserved to win against Belgium but I think losing the games to Croatia and Morocco were fair.  It's good experience for 4 years from now and ultimately these tournament appearances do help to generate the next era of Canadian football/soccer.

I don't think we should be overly disappointed with the 0-3 record although I do thing that getting outscored 7-2 was slightly disappointing.

Morocco - up 1-0 at the half against Portugal in their quarter final

Canada really got a tough draw.  Herdman's tactics weren't the best and inexperience really let them down on their finish in the first game against Belgium.  Moral victories don't mean a lot but they were really in tough.
