After a season with Ritten in the top tier Italian league, Justin Pogge has his sites set on dominating the second highest Swedish league, with BIK Karlskoga.  Ritten now has Chris Mason.  I know, you were wondering what happens to 37 year old NHL goaltenders in today's cap world.

2012-13 numbers for Justin Pogge: 44 GP, 2.37 GAA, .925 PCT

It is probably rewarding to be a star somewhere, anywhere.  Sadly, it would not be with the Blue and White, playing a majority of Marlies games and just 7 games with the big club.  Forever tied with Rask in an antithesis of what was probably the biggest goaltending prospect decision in our generation as Leaf fans.

Komi was sent to the Marlies because of his inconsistent play for years, and they needed a "Stay At Home" Dman that could be relied on, as well for the playoffs as previously mentioned. He was exactly that on a 3rd line for the Leafs, so a 4th seemed fair at that point.

A 4th may have been a bit high, but that's kind of the price you pay at the trade deadline. It's not like it sunk us. And with both Fraser and Kostka getting hurt in the playoffs we needed the depth anyway.

I actually liked O'Bryne as a bottom pairing guy. I think he had a rough stretch of games here and there but in the playoffs he was rather solid. He was matched up against Jagr a lot of the time and he contained him well. I'm not sure our other 2nd and 3rd pairing defencemen could have done that. I would have signed him over Fraser if given the chance.
