The final score was actually 2-0 as the empty netter from Mark Fraser was disallowed.

Go figure, the goal was waved off because a Marlies player was ruled offside. Anyone who followed the Calder Cup playoffs, particularly Game 3 against Norfolk in the final, will take exception to the call!

Any thoughts on Komarov so far?

Haven't seen him yet. I didn't attend tonight's game, and he didn't play in the game I watched on Sat. Here is a post-game tweet from tonight from SportsNet's Matt Brown @mbrownSN590:

"Eakins also liked Leo Komorov's ability to agitate. Likes the shutdown ability of his line of Acton & D'Amigo too, but will change #Marlies"

I thought one thread for all Marlies games would be okay? Or, if you guys feel like it, they can certainly be split-off...

I think televised games might warrant their own threads, but we can see how it goes.

Fair enough. I just wasn't sure if we'd get more than one or two pages each game.  :-\

That's usually how it is, but with no Leafs, who knows?

We're almost up to 3 pages for a preseason game that was broadcasted on a Hamilton radio station. I'd say the games on Sportsnet could get to at least 5 including pre and post game talk.

Hope you're right. I was thinking it would be rather low based on the abysmal page counts we were getting on Leaf games towards the end of last season. It would be pretty groovy to better those.

I'd laugh too, but I don't have internet access.
