I sent out a tweet saying "@bruce_arthur It's a shame 102.1 replaced Toronto radio legends @HumbleFredRadio with...err...@ItsDeanBlundell" and got a barrage of hate from Blundell's loyal twitter army.

Then you deserved what you got for siding with Bruce Arthur.  8) :o

ESPN AM980 Tony Kornheiser show. First thing I listen to each day on my podcast at work. Hello to any fellow littles. Got my TK sticker last June.

Some pretty significant changes coming to the Fan590.

The biggest of all being that they hired Dean Blundell to host the morning show alongside Andrew Walker.  That bumps Greg Brady to Tim and Sid's timeslot, who are slated to transition to TV full time.

Blundell was an a-hole on the Edge, but I heard him co-host on the Fan one time with Gerry Dee and thought he was very good.  But my guess the idea of Blundell alone will turn listeners away.

Don't get the motive behind Tim and Sid being exclusively on TV.

Rogers is making some more changes to their sports broadcasting line ups. Dean Blundell will be taking over in the morning. Brady moves to Tim & Sid's spot who are moving to TV from 5PM - 7PM.

I can't believe they'd put Dean Blundell back on the radio

Ugh Blundell. Ugh Brady in the afternoon. And the Fan's single decent show, Tim and Sid, only on t.v? Good one Fan.

I only caught Tim and Sid a few times but I feel that I can safely say that I passionately hated it.

Eh well I've always found them pretty entertaining. They are about the only guys on that station who actually talk about different sports and not just Leafs, Leafs, Leafs with a bit of Jays and a dab of Raptors.

McCowan is alright as well but he doesn't seem to have much in the way of basic hockey and baseball knowledge. I miss Fergie Oliver.

I don't listen to the radio much (It's the 21st century, I read Hope_Smoke's tweets), but I follow both Brady and Walker on twitter and while I don't always agree with them they seem like intelligent hockey folk. They also seem to have really good chemistry. Unfortunate that that's being broken up.

Agreed, they are by far the most entertaining thing on the radio these days.  Also really honest on the current state of the toronto teams regardless of who their bosses are.

Congrats to Tim and Sid on the move on up!

Fair enough - we don't all have to like the same stuff!

Words I never imagined I'd read.

It was in jest ;)

What was that show he hosted? I remember watching that all the time as a kid.

The show where he used to creepily try to get little girls to kiss him?  Just Like Mom.

You can count me as one of those who has no interest in listening to Blundell do sports, as I tired of his juvenile humour long ago on the Edge.
In some ways it is like Strombo doing HNIC.
I will say both men are very good at their schtick, but they both have no business in sports media, nor do I care what they have to say on sports-related matters.
Dean go back to poop jokes and George go back to more intellectual matters.
