The Toronto Marlies’ four-game winning streak came to an end at the hands of the Hamilton Bulldogs on Friday night. Brendan Gallagher scored two goals to lead the Bulldogs to a 6-3 win at Copps Coliseum.

The game marked the return of forward Matt Frattin to the Toronto lineup. Frattin required knee surgery after crashing the net at the end of a playoff game on May 25 and had not played since then. The 24-year-old forward wasted little time in finding the scoresheet, collecting his first two goals of the season. Jerry D’Amigo had the other Marlies goal, while Ben Scrivens took the defeat in the net.

After an eight-game road swing, the Marlies finally return to Ricoh Coliseum for games on Saturday and Sunday to face Hamilton and Abbotsford respectively.
