Suffered knee injury in Game 5 vs. OKC
Toronto Marlies winger Matt Frattin will not be available for the remainder of the Calder Cup playoffs.
Frattin sustained a knee injury in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final as he was scoring an empty net goal to clinch the series for the Marlies. On the play on which he scored his second goal of the game, Frattin crashed into the net as he was pursued by Oklahoma City defenceman Dylan Yeo who was trying to prevent the goal.
Frattin’s 10 goals leads all AHL playoff scorers. His 13 points are tied for second-best, two behind Alexandre Picard of Norfolk.
The Marlies open the Calder Cup Final in Norfolk on Friday, June 1.
