Toronto Maple Leafs forward Zach Hyman has been suspended for two games, without pay, for interference against Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy during NHL Game No. 446 in Boston on Saturday, Dec. 8, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 9:53 of the third period. Hyman was assessed a major penalty for interference and game misconduct.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Hyman will forfeit $24,193.54. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
