Sometimes it takes a great deal of hard work, and sometimes it takes a little luck.  The Leafs had both in a 2-1 overtime win over Anaheim.

Scoring for Toronto was Patrick Marleau in the first period and Morgan Rielly in overtime. Rielly has two overtime-winning goals this season (Oct. 7 at Chicago) and leads all NHL defencemen in goals and points. Garret Sparks was fantastic stopping 38 shots.

A couple late-game scramble saves by Leafs defencemen were the difference.

The win gives them a perfect 3-0 West coast road trip.  It also put Toronto first place in the league.

The Leafs next action is Monday night, when they host Columbus.
