The Toronto Marlies are headed to the Eastern Conference Final after winning Game 4 of their second-round series versus Syracuse by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Toronto had a pair of power play goals in the first period courtesy of Dmytro Timashov and Andreas Johnsson. The latter goal – the eventual game winner – came on a five-minute power play after Syracuse’s Alex Gallant a major penalty and game misconduct for an elbow to the head of Mason Marchment.

Garret Sparks made 21 saves in net for the Marlies, many of them difficult stops. Reid McNeill was the only Syracuse player to score.

The Marlies will play the winner of the division final between the LeHigh Valley Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers affiliate) and Charlotte Checkers (Carolina Hurricanes affiliate).
