It happened again.  Auston Matthews with another overtime snipe to give the Leafs a 4-3 win over Montreal.

Matthews had just dished out a cardiac moment when he snapped a bullet in O/T Monday night against Chicago.  It’s becoming old habit for Matthews, who now has five goals in his first five games.

The win snapped a 14-game stretch of Leafs losses to the Habs.  And it was Coach Babcock’s 600th win as a head coach in the NHL.

James van Riemsdyk and Patrick Marleau both had goals, plus there was a second Matthews goal in the mix.

Leafs goaltender Freddie Andersen made 31 saves, including a big stop in overtime.

The Leafs next action is Tuesday night as Matthews and the Leafs take on Alexander Ovechkin and the Capitals.
