The Toronto Maple Leafs used their first round, 17th overall selection at the 2017 NHL Entry Draft to select Swedish defenceman Timothy Liljegren.
A right-handed shooting defender, Liljegren was rated as a top-five prospect before being sidelined with mononucleosis last season.
Liljegren, 18, is listed as six feet tall. In each of the last two seasons, he has collected one goal and five points with Rogle BK of the Swedish Elite League.
