The Toronto Marlies had their 2017 Calder Cup playoff run come to an end in Syracuse on Wednesday, dropping a 6-3 decision to the Crunch in the seventh game of the series.

Although Toronto sprung to a 3-1 lead, the Crunch stormed back with five unanswered goals. The marker that held up as the game-winner was Matthew Peca’s tally just eight seconds into the third period.

Seth Griffith, Brendan Leipsic and Andreas Johnsson had the Toronto goals. Kasimir Kaskisuo made 24 saves in a losing effort.
