The Maple Leafs squandered a chance to sweep their two-game road trip, instead falling in overtime 4-3 to the Atlanta Thrashers on Friday after building up a three-goal lead. “We’re not a good team, ” stated displeased head coach Ron Wilson. “We need to be focused every single second of every game, and if we take our foot off the gas – we just can’t do that.”

Toronto’s next game is Monday when they host the Carolina Hurricanes in a rematch of last Thursday’s meeting in which the Leafs prevailed 6-4.

In AHL action the Marlies lost 3-2 to the Houston Aeros in a shootout.
