Noteworthy:
-The Leafs won their third straight home game, a feat they did not accomplish all of last season. Toronto last won 3 consecutive games at ACC during a stretch from January 15-23, 2008.
-Matt Stajan’s three points (2 goals, 1 assist) was one point shy of his career high for a single game. The Leafs forward has 18 points in his last 18 games.
-Luke Schenn was a healthy scratch for the first time his season. “I just needed to press his reset button,” said head coach Ron Wilson. “We think he’s made a lot of mental mistakes. He has some things he needs to work on.”
