Noteworthy:
-Colton Orr scored his first goal in 77 games, last finding the net on Dec. 10, 2008 as a member of the NY Rangers. His goal in the first period held up as the game-winner.
-With Gustavsson hospitalized due to an elevated heart rate, Joey McDonald played the second and third periods. It was the first shared shutout for the Leafs since Nov. 4, 1997 (Glenn Healy and Marcel Cousineau, 0-0 tie vs. San Jose).
-Gustavsson will stay overnight in Montreal and will be examined by a cardiologist on Wednesday, said head coach Ron Wilson after the game
