Noteworthy:
-Martin Gerber made 37 saves in his Leafs debut, and came within 39 seconds of a shutout.
-Earlier in the day the Leafs recalled Ben Ondrus from the Toronto Marlies, and also signed Jeff Hamilton as a free agent. Both players were in the lineup. Hamilton earned an assist on Kubina’s goal, his first point as a Leaf.
-Alex Ovechkin was scratched from the game due to a foot injury suffered in practice on Wednesday. It was only the second game in Ovechkin’s career that he missed due to injury.

    Wow see what a good coach can do! That Wilson is a great coach.He takes a bunch of miner leaguers aka :Toronto Maple Leafs and has them just a couple more wins away from playoff spot.Once in they have as good as chance to win cup as any other team .Long live Coach Wilson!!
