NHL cancels season up to Nov. 1
The National Hockey League announced Friday the cancellation of the 2012-13 regular schedule through to Nov. 1.
The following games had been on the Leafs schedule: Fri. Oct. 26 at NY Islanders, Sat. Oct. 27 at Philadelphia, Tue. Oct. 30 vs. Anaheim, and Thu. Nov. 1 vs. Boston.
CBC’s Hockey Night In Canada had planned to air a 60th anniversary show on Nov. 1 commemorating the broadcast’s first telecast on November 1, 1952 between the Leafs and Bruins.
