Leafs president and general manager Brian Burke announced Wednesday that Francois Allaire has joined the team as goaltending consultant.
Allaire has three Stanley Cups on resume, one with Burke in Anaheim in 2007 and two with Montreal in 1986 and 1993. Allaire worked with Patrick Roy, who won the Conn Smythe Trophy on both occasions.
“We consider Francois to be one of the best in the world at his craft,” said Burke. “He brings a tremendous amount of experience and I know that he will make an immediate impact with our goalies. I would like to thank the Anaheim organization for making Francois available to us.”
Allaire has spent the past 13 seasons in Anaheim.
