Jonas Gustavsson hospitalized in Leafs victory

Maple Leafs goaltender Jonas Gustavsson played the entire first period of Tuesday’s game in Montreal, but was later taken to hospital for precautionary reasons, due to an elevated heart rate.

During training camp in September, Gustavsson underwent surgery that was supposed to bring the problem under control.

Joey McDonald replaced Gustavsson in net, as both goalies shared the shutout in a 3-0 Toronto victory.
