Sunday news: Leafs have a Killer of a night

Jason Blake’s third period goal gave the Leafs a 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in front of 19,570 fans on Saturday; the largest crowd to watch a game at ACC this season. The victory came on the night that Doug Gilmour was honoured by having his #93 banner raised to the rafters.

Meanwhile, general manager Brian Burke weighs his options in light of the hand injury to Tomas Kaberle, who is arguably the Leafs’ most tradeable asset.

The Habs were 4-3 winners over the Kings in a thrilling afternoon game, while Mats Sundin and the Canucks continue to struggle on home ice.

At Ricoh Coliseum, the Marlies had their home winning streak snapped, dropping a 6-3 decision to Rockford.
